Quinacridone Gold (hue) - Handmade Oil Paint - 40ml

Quinacridone Gold is a modern pigment that ceased production in the early 21st century mainly due to the fact that other industries outside of the artist industry no longer seeked it out, that coupled with the fact that it in all its variations can be mimicked with other modern pigments it has stayed out of production. Some paint manufacturers still carry some of the pigment, but it isnt widely produced and where it is sold it is relatively expensive.
For my take on this color I have come up with a considerably lighter variation of Quinacridone Gold. All of my colors follow a certain set of rules which influences the color outcome. Must be totally lightfast, must be totally non-toxic, and must be practical/ affordable. For these reasons commonly used Quinacridone Gold ingredients such as PO48 (no longer being manufactured by pigment manufacturers), and PY150 (Mildly carcinogenic) are not used in my hue.
My take is a unique approach due to the rules my colors follow. It offers similar characteristics to the original but you will definitely notice it is lighter in color and a pinch less transparent. It has a beautiful brick of gold color in masstone and becomes a shiny gold when thinned.
