    Description

I decided to create a little kit of 25+ floating wicks and one reusable plastic float to introduce these gems to the beginner of vegetable oil fueled candlelight!
Simply fill a glass jar or bowl (I like to use a martini glass or wide mouthed mason jar) 3/4 full with water, top off with vegetable oil, light the wick and presto!  An instant oil lamp that will last hours!
I'm in love with these floating wicks.  No more batteries for the flashlight, no more candles, no more costly lamp oil, no more night light.  Burns clean.  No smoke.  No odor.  No wax drippings.  And the effect is stunning!  A flickering flame dancing on water and fueled by common vegetable oil.  I highly recommend Canola oil.  It is economical and has just the right "fat" content.
When the power goes out you'll be prepared in elegant style.
As water and oil don't mix, the oil will rise to the surface.  Simply insert a wick into the float and enjoy!
Great for ritual/spiritual/meditation and spell casting use as well.  But it is when the power goes off that I truly appreciate my float and wicks!  I just top off our martini glass before heading to bed and the soft light flickers all through the night!
This method is MUCH safer than candles or kerosene lanterns.  If your liquid glass vessel should tip over, there is virtually no risk of fire.  The flame will merely self extinguish.
You will receive an envelope containing 25+ wicks, and a reusable plastic float.  The photos provided actually show my own plastic float and wick in action.
Each wick will provide 20+ hours of burn time so this little kit will go a LONG way!
The clear plastic float is terrific!  It can be used over and over and over again!  Just pop in a fresh wick when needed!  You may encounter black burn scars on the plastic float after several uses but don't be alarmed.  The float will remain completely functional.  I have a float that has a few burn "melts" around the nipple and it continues to serve me well 3+ years later!
Introduce yourself to this alternative homesteading art!  You will likely abandon traditional candles altogether.  There is just something magical about a floating flicker of light on water!
Practical, economical AND stunning!  Makes for a thoughtful gift.
